Well this game starts at 11:30 in the morning on a Sunday, so I’m not expecting too many people to be too eager to get up and do a lot of pregame prep. The Blackhawks are 3-1-0 against the Wings this year, but its been a different team every time due to all the injuries they’ve gone through.

A few things worth noting are the standings.  The Hawks are currently 2 points behind San Jose for the top spot in the West with one game in hand.  The Wings are fighting for their playoff lives. They’re one point ahead of Calgary for the 8th spot.  Beating them in regulation would be sweet.

INJURY REPORT AND ROSTER NOTES

Burish is better for the most part, but they’re holding him out until Wednesday against the Kings.  The lineup will be the same as the game on Friday.

Huet is getting the start after his strong game against the Canucks.

Jimmy Howard will be in net for the Wings. You can see their full lines here. I refuse to post names of all those douchenozzles.  While there, check out what Babcock had to say about the Hawks.

“The bottom line is they (the Blackhawks) are the best team in the NHL right now,” Babcock said…Asked why he feels Chicago, and not San Jose, is the top team, Babcock said, “Because they’re better. That doesn’t mean that San Jose isn’t really good.”
